11th place finish with Lucas Oil MLRA at Lucas Oil Speedway
Kaeden Cornell returned to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned Midweek Mayhem. With 36 cars registered in for action, Cornell made hard contact with the wall in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Passing six cars to pick up the 12-lap consolation victory, Kaeden locked into the 18th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Cornell gained six spots in the 40-lapper to place 11th. (Todd Boyd photos)
1On Friday evening at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Okla.) for the two-day ARMI Freedom Classic, Cornell failed to make it out for his heat race after experiencing ignitions issues. Earning a provisional into the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kaeden improved eight spots in the 30-lapper to register a 16th place outing.
1The following night for the $5,000-to-win finale, Kaeden came in sixth in his heat before placing fourth in his B-Main. Starting the main event in 24th, Cornell passed 11 cars in the 40-lap affair to score 13th place finish.
